- London’s Last 1960’s Dance. A concert from October 28, 2024 that included most of the
surviving players from London’s 1960s teen music scene. What a blast!
With the number of comfortable performance venues in London shrinking steadily, too many talented, experienced entertainers are sitting at home when they would rather be out playing. Rather than just complain, I decided we should do something about it. The happy result is a weekly concert series called JIM CHAPMAN PRESENTS at UNITY CENTRE. It features top talent from across the area, presented in an intimate setting with the audience members sitting within a few feet of the performers.
The venue is The Unity Spiritual Centre at 501 Nelson Street (at Maitland) in London, and the shows run from 7:30 to 9:00 every Wednesday evening, featuring a wide variety of entertainers performing music from almost every popular genre, including folk, rock and roll, country, blues, boogie woogie, American songbook, traditional, bluegrass, etc.
