Aging Gracefully Posts

I have suffered from a variety of health challenges all my life, from being a “failure to thrive” baby to dealing with chronic depression and pain for decades to having a series of heart attacks in my early fifties and atrial fibrillation in my seventies. As a result, I have an abiding interest in good health. While I’m not a fanatic about anything, I do a fair bit of reading about the latest news on the health care front, with a special interest in learning how to age gracefully and maintain good health as long as possible.

On this page I will be sharing things I come across that I find interesting, as well as health tips, pointers and general information from Medpoint, my health care provider of choice in London. When Carlyn and I lost our family doctor and could not find another, Medpoint stepped up to provide the full-service medical care we need as aging seniors. We have been so impressed with the commitment and compassion of the Medpoint team that we are telling all our friends, and we want you to be able to check them out for yourself with the click of a mouse.

They may not be your cup of tea, and that’s entirely up to you. But we were so impressed with how were treated and literally went from having no doctor and being on our own to having a full medical team on call and ready to respond to any and all of our concerns. Look at that any way you like, but to us it’s almost a miracle.
